Quick Overview
For this project, we were tasked with creating an ad campaign in a series of three photos for a specific client. To fulfill this task, I chose to do the famous brand, Nike, INC. For those who do not know what Nike, Inc. is, it is a sports/lifestyle brand that engages in the development, designs, and marketing of athletic products. They specialize in athletic footwear, apparel, accessories, equipment, and services. Their clever and most well-known tag line is “Just Do It.”. In order to create three engaging shots that all go well together to capture the brand, I did some digging on some previous ad campaigns. From doing so, I found that NIKE had done an ad campaign called, “Run Together”, for a women’s marathon in Beaverton, Oregon in October of 2007. They had based this ad campaign on running to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). Since this year has been a tough one for many, I felt like continuing the “Run Together” campaign idea would be a good idea. However, my campaign has a twist. Instead of it being directly correlated to running for a society, I had thought that this year might be good to do a “run for your health” since there has been a lot of attention to people’s mental health and physical health this year. By running for your health, you can incorporate this in with running for fighting for cancer, for your mental health, for staying fit, or for fighting against the famous celebrity of 2020, COVID-19. The above three pieces showcase if Nike were to have actually continued this ad campaign but in a more recent setting. I do not own Nike's trademarks or logos.
