Meet Ava (Self Portrait)

For this project, we were tasked with taking a self portrait in the Arizona State University Polytechnic photography studio. This shot above was done in one hour and needed to showcase elements of complex lighting. The photo above features myself, Ava Hansen.

Ava is a photographer who specializes in studio and portrait photography in Arizona. When she picks up the camera, she’s not just trying to get a cool shot; she’s trying to tell a story. While Ava specializes in photography, she also dabbles in the art of graphic design and marketing. This twenty year old is going after her passions by studying Graphic Information Technology (G.I.T.) with a primary focus in Digital Print, Design & Publishing and a secondary focus in commercial photography and video at Arizona State University. Always intrigued by branding and marketing, she took up learning a minor in Digital Audiences. When it comes to work, she works as a freelancer, Premedia Specialist at the ASU Print & Imaging Lab, a Social Media Strategist for a boutique in East Mesa, and is participating in starting a creative agency named “Stormland Studios” with a few of her peers. In her free time, she can be found at her favorite BlackRock Coffeebar grabbing drinks with her friends, picking up a camera, volunteering in clubs, or doing any exercise in the outdoors.
