Ubuntu Restaurant Menu

Ubuntu is a modern hangout overlooking the Colorado Lagoon in Long Beach, California offering dishes with locally sourced ingredients. Their mission is to provide “Great Hospitality First”, such as how you would with your closest friends or family. Labeled as “the greatest neighborhood café”, this client came to our team with the request to design a Happy Hour Menu. The task was to design a Happy Hour Menu that felt retro, yet modern at the same time.

The Original Inspiration

When it came to the design of this project, the client requested that we take inspiration from their previous menu as well as the Henry's Happy Hour menu. In order to mold the two different design styles together, I incorporated elements such as a double frames around menu items, retro fonts, and brand elements such as the corner elements on the previous Ubuntu menu.
